First days and Friday late arrival

The first day for the majority of West Valley schools is Wednesday, August 27, while kindergarten students start on Tuesday, September 2 (due to family launch conferences). In order to allow for staff collaboration and training, most WVSD schools will start an hour later on Fridays. Buses will run an hour later in the morning on these days. District provides supplies for students 

WVSD is thrilled to be able to  provide basic supplies for in-person elementary and middle school students during the 2025-26 school year. Families will only be responsible for a student's backpack and lunch box. Certain schools and teachers may request additional items, and they will communicate that with their families.

Free meals continue for ALL students

We are excited to once again offer free breakfast and lunch to ALL students in West Valley schools through the 2025-26 school year regardless of the family’s income status. Click here for more important information and updates from the Nutrition Department. 

Riding the bus?

If your student needs school bus transportation for the upcoming school year, please complete your registration before August 13. Registration is especially important this year because many routes have changed, and your student may have a different stop than in previous years.  For more information, email [email protected] or visit the Transportation webpage.
