School offices open by August 13
Secretaries and some staff return to buildings no later than August 13. Schools will be communicating with families closer to the start of the school year which is Wednesday, August 26 for most students.
Elementary supplies provided
The district will provide basic supplies for in-person elementary students during the 2026-27 school year.
Kiwanis hosts donation drive
The West Valley Kiwanis Club for organizing a donation drive to support affected WVSD families. Donations of cash, checks and gift cards are being accepted to help meet immediate needs and bring comfort during this challenging time.
Applications being accepted for voter pamphlet appointees
Our district is seeking applications from persons interested in being appointed to committees to write the for and against statements for the Spokane County Local Voters’ Pamphlet related to the November 3, 2026 General Election. Click header for more info.
District offers free summer meals
Free breakfast and lunch will be offered to children under age 18 during the summer through July 16. Click the headline to learn more.
Bus routes limited on 6/17/26
Bus routes will be limited today, June 17, because of the ongoing road closures as a result of the Camp Sekani Fire.
School year concludes on June 17
The school year concludes on Wednesday, June 17, and students will be dismissed early. Release times vary by building.
