WVHS interim principal named
Ashley Barker will serve as the interim principal at West Valley High School during the 2025–26 school year. Ashley brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to fostering school cultures where students feel seen, valued and supported.
Temporary Pause on Enrollment
Online enrollment for the 2025-26 school year has been paused due to a software migration. Registration will reopen at the beginning of August. For more information, contact the WVSD office at 509-924-2150.
Earlier start date for 2025-26 school year
Our school board approved a slightly different version of the West Valley 2025-26 calendar that has Wednesday, August 27 (prior to Labor Day) as the start day for most schools. Click on the title to read more.

Meet the WVHS principal candidates
This community event will take place on Wednesday, June 25, at 6 p.m. in the theater at West Valley High School, 8301 E Buckeye.
School year concludes on June 13
All schools will begin at their regular times on Friday, June 13, and buses will pick up at normal times. There will not be late start in any buildings, but schools will dismiss students early.
