Herbicide application on Nov. 8 & 9
Weather permitting, all grassy areas in front and around all West Valley schools are scheduled to be sprayed with a herbicide on Nov. 8 and 9, 2025.
No school on November 10 & 11
All West Valley schools and offices will be closed on November 10 and 11 due to Fall Break and Veterans Day.

Families and students are invited to take a brief survey this fall about school experiences.
Elementary and middle school families invited to conferences
All elementary and middle schools will release students early on Wednesday, November 5, due to the start of fall parent-teacher conferences. There will be no school for these students on November 6 and 7 so teachers can hold conferences.
No school for students on Oct. 6
Schools will not be in session on October 6 due to district staff participating in annual professional development training.

Air quality and school activities
West Valley School District follows guidance from the WA State Department of Health regarding air quality. The district and its schools use AirNow.gov to determine air quality in our area.
